Pearson, Christine “Chris” Joy
In cherished memory of Christine “Chris” Joy Pearson (nee Walli) who passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Finlandia Village at the age of 67. Loving wife of 46 years to Garnet Pearson (predeceased 2019). Predeceased by both her parents Vilho and Wilma Walli. Inspiring mother to Lorna (Craig) and David (Katherine). Special Mumma and Nanny to Brooklyn, Paige, Hailey and Mackenzie. Dear sister to Gladys (Marcel, predeceased), Marion (Armand, predeceased) and Norma (Mike). Special Aunt Chrissy to Richard, Philip, Melissa, Andy, Ed, and Great Aunt to Kaitlyn, Justin, Logan, Silas and Peyton. She will be dearly missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Chris was extremely proud of her Finnish heritage and well known for her strong determination of SISU. She enjoyed her summers at camp on Lake Kagawong in Spring Bay, Manitoulin Island. In her younger days she camped on Long Lake at her family camp. She loved spending time with her sisters & family, sewing, coffee, magazines and great straight up conversation. Our family would like to thank all the staff at Finlandia Village for providing amazing care to our mom. Donations in her honour may be made to the Finlandia SISU Foundation would be greatly appreciated. As per Chris’s wishes no visitation will be held. Burial to follow at the Waters Cemetery in Lively.
