It is with deepest sorrow that we announce her passing, January 14, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Matéo and of the late Jeanne Marguerite (née Quatronne) Matéos. Beloved wife and sweetheart of predeceased Jean Paul Pelland of Chelmsford. Cherished mother of Philippe of Hanmer, Alain (Carmelle), Eric (Nicole), Patricia Pelland all of Chelmsford, Marc (predeceased Ginette Pelletier) of Saint-Hyacinthe, Carmen Tremblay (predeceased Marcel) of Sudbury and Christine (Gerry Dupelle) of Callander. Predeceased by her sons Jean-Luc (Nicole of Chelmsford) and Serge Pelland. Dear sister of Claudine, Daniele, Dominique, and Michele. Predeceased by her brother Pol, Camille, Claude, and her sister Paulette Mateos. Sadly, missed and lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and her 18 great-grandchildren. Born in Ville de Stenay (Meuse), France. Renée met J.P. during the Vietnamese war and were married in France in 1958 and together they had 51 years of marriage. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, best friend, sister, daughter, and grandmother. Renée had a passion for baking, her famous cream puffs and croissants were always hot on demand. She adored dancing and would encourage others to join.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards and going to bingo. Renée had a good sense of humour always loved a good laugh.  The celebration of life will be held at a later date.
