PERRETEN, Germaine Marie-Louise (née Bouret) - Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Health Sciences North-Sudbury with her loving family at her bedside, Germaine passed away at the age of 75. Devoted and beloved wife of Mike Perreten, mother of François Perreten (wife Marie), Julie Moskalyk (husband Kirk) and Natalie Dodd (husband Paul). Germaine was a wonderful, proud and loving Grand-maman to Nicolas, Erika, Marika, Mackensie and Jack. Germaine will be deeply missed by her family, who loved her dearly. One of twelve children, Germaine was born on July 6, 1937 in la belle ville de Québec. Germaine lived a cherished life filled with adventure as the wife of a career military officer, and devoted her time and energy to her family. In the classic Québécois way Germaine treasured her family, embracing life with fabulous meals, fashion and family celebrations, traditions that will be carried on by her children and grandchildren. You are invited to join her family for a Memorial Mass at the Ste-Anne des Pins Church at 10:00am, on Wednesday November 28, friends may gather at the church after 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Germaine's memory to the Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF). We would like to particularly thank Dr. Andrew Knight and all the nurses on the 4th floor who battled so hard to keep her with us and make her comfortable.
