PHILION, Rhéal - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Friday, May 7, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Napoleon and of the late Emilie (née Roy) Philion. Husband of the late Rita Philion (née Bourguigon). Beloved father of Robert Philion of Chelmsford, Aurèle Philion (Paulette) of Azilda and Thérèse Lloyd (Jamie) of Hanmer. Dear brother of Thérèse Desbois (Edgar Jr.) of Elliot Lake. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Paul (Blanche of Espanola), Roméo (Dixie of Toulon, Manitoba), Alphonse (Yvonne of Winnipeg), René (late Laurette), Ronald (Paulette of Chelmsford), Léon (Rita of Chelmsford), Florestine Séguin (late Roland), Fernande St. Onge (late William) and Rosa “Marie Rose“ Larocque (late Ulric). Rhéal was a retired security guard from Inco. His good character and the kindness of his heart won the affection of his family and friends. He was a member of “Club d'âge d'or“ in Azilda and will also be remembered for his many hours of volunteer work with Meals on Wheels. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691, R R 15, CHELMSFORD, Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday May 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
