PIETTE, Pierrette (née Riopel) - The family announces with sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Thursday, February 28th, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Wife of the late Ronald Piette. Survived by her mother (97 years old) Marie-Reine Riopel (née Grondin) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her father Ubald Riopel. Beloved mother of Gaëtan Viau (Jocelyne Robineau), Denise Lemieux (Norm), Christine Viau (Norm Dorion) and Marcel Viau (Monique) all of St-Charles, Lorraine Viau (Nicole) of Toronto and Rhéal Viau (Sue Kutschke) of Val Caron. Dear sister of Jean-Claude (Yollande) of Dowling, Bernard (Rose) of Val Caron, Roland (Jackie) of Barrie, Ronald (Suzanne) of Elliot Lake, Françoise Pilon (Marcel) and Nicole Pelletier (Ron) both of Sudbury. Sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren. Pierrette was the 2nd link in contributing to 5 generations 12 times with her great- grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, on Monday, March 11th, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer Society, the Lung Association or to the Sudbury Food Bank would be appreciated.
