PILBACKA, Uuno Kullervo - In loving memory of Uuno Kullervo Pilbacka, 87 years, Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Aino (Timonen) Pilbacka of Sudbury. Loving father of Marja Liisa Mottonen (predeceased 2002), Aila (Dan Ryan) and Heikki (Sandra) both of Whitefish. Cherished grandfather of Landon, Rylan, Kyler and Anna Liisa. Dear brother of Sanni of Sudbury, predeceased by Helvi, Reino, Aune and Eeva. Born in Vimpeli, Finland he married Aino in 1950. Known as the “Master Blaster“ Uuno worked for many years in construction. He was a skilled woodworker, proud of the 2 log cabins and 2 houses he built. He was avid fisherman. Uuno served with the Finnish Army and was a member of the Finnish War Veterans Association. He will be lovingly remembered as a hardworking honest and dependable man who always made his family the centre of his life. Funeral service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Sudbury, Friday, March 4th, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Water's Cemetery.
