PINKNEY, Dr. Terence John - March 1947 - February 2012 - Passed away peacefully in Orillia on February 9, 2012. Born in Ottawa, Terry graduated from Queens University in 1971 and completed a one year internship at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He practised family medicine for 34 years in Capreol, Ontario and then for 5 years in Orillia beginning in 2001. Beloved husband of Julie Florentino, son of Lillian and Glen (deceased) Pinkney, brother of Gordon (Claudette), Greg (Lisa), and Golda (Murray), step dad to Donna, Christine and Michael, brother-in-law of Ester and Geny Toribio, Nida and Larry Radzio, Ann and Monico. He was an avid curler and loved to be outdoor. He worked to see the world and left a legacy for brain research. He will be dearly missed. The family is very grateful to the Leacock Care Centre and its staff for the caring service they provided to him in the last four years of his life and also to all the relatives, friends and physicians who supported the couple. For those who wish, contributions may be made to Alzheimer Society Canada or The Arthritis Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
