PITRE, Gilles - The family announces with sorrow his death at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the age of 61 years. Son of the late Emile and of the late Berthe (née Lafleur) Pitre. Beloved husband of Céline Pitre (née Cloutier) of Hanmer. Loving brother of Ronald Pitre (Noëlla) of Lavigne, Marcel Pitre (late Jeannine) and Suzanne St. Pierre (Donald) both of Hanmer, Gisèle Beaver (late William) of Vancouver and Rhéal Pitre (Susan) of St-Charles. Predeceased by his brother Claude and his sister Colleen. Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Gaëtane Falardeau (Florent) of Fugèreville, Qc and his brothers-in-law Ghislain Cloutier (Josette) of Hanmer and Donald Cloutier (Theresa) of Balmertown. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family expresses its heartfelt appreciation to doctors Pearce and Tenhunen and nurses Karen Dwyer-Green, Rhodine White, Barbara Ballantyne, Marian Lajambe and Nathalie Dwyer. Gilles was a member of the Knights of Columbus in the 3rd degree, council 5005, Hanmer. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570, St-Joseph St., Hanmer, Friday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Prayers under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St-Jacques Church, Hanmer.
