POFF, Keith Murray - 1926 - 2011. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Murray Poff on Monday November 21, 2011 at Hastings Manor Nursing Home in Belleville, Ontario in his 86th year. Loving father to Christopher John, Victoria Anne, Rebecca Irene and Rachel Kirsten. Proud and cherished Grandfather to Hannah Eden, Carson Christopher, Alexandra Camille and Caroline Shirley. Husband to Fay Thacker and Shirley Elliott (predeceased). Keith was born and raised in Pembroke, Ontario. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy on the HMCS Uganda. He attended Carleton University and U of T. He was a fine jazz musician, avid fisherman and great Northern Ontario outdoorsman. Keith, KM, Red, Uncle Keithy, Big Guy was a lifelong teacher at Copper Cliff HS and then LoEllen SS in the Sudbury area. He loved to teach, he loved to coach and he loved to find and encourage the best in all he met. Most of all he will be remembered as a kind and loving father.
