Prociuk-Lowney Helen – In loving memory of Prociuk-Lowney Helen. Helen died at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Sunday, May 8th, 2011, at the age of 62, of complications from the Multiple Sclerosis she struggled with for twenty-seven years. She is survived by her husband Patrick, her brothers, Ihor of Toronto, Bob (Christine) of Burlington, and her sister Kathy Bridle (Graham) of North Bay. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Maureen Brown (Bill) of Copper Cliff and Jacqueline Lowney (Don predeceased) of Oakville. She is also survived by her cousin Wasyl Verrvega (Marilyn) of Sudbury. Her twelve nieces and nephews will treasure fond remembrances of their aunt: Mike Brown (Robin), Cathy Bellingham (David) of Hamilton, Jim Brown (Paula), Nancy Whissell (Mark) both of Sudbury, Patrick Brown (Annette) of Simcoe, Kimberley Battaglia (Chris) of Milton, Patrick Lowney of Toronto, Billy Bridle of Ottawa, Dawn Bridle of North Bay, Nadya Prociuk of Texas, Andrew Prociuk of Burlington and Tomas Prociuk of Toronto. Also survived by 8 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents Wasyl and Olga Prociuk, her brother Boris and her nephew Mark. Helen was a faithful Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish and the CWL as well as a member of the Ukrainian Senior Citizens. Visitation will be at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, on Wednesday, May 11th, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Her life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Hope Parish on Thursday, May 12th, 2011 at 10:00am. If so desired, donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the MS Society and will be gratefully acknowledged.
