PROSPERI, Robert

December 14, 2012 65

PROSPERI, Robert Joseph - (1947 - 2012). In loving memory of Bob Prosperi who passed away Tuesday, at home, with his family by his side. Bob, 65, was born in Sudbury on October 3rd, 1947. Beloved husband of Gale Prosperi (nee Buttazzoni). Loving and devoted father of Anthony Prosperi (Karen), John Prosperi (Angele) and Carissa Prosperi (Aurelio). Cherished Nonno of Mia, Jillian, Danielle, Ella, and Robert. Dear son of Joseph Prosperi (predeceased) and Yollanda Prosperi (nee Signorotti). Dear brother of William Prosperi and JoAnn Furino. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and godchildren. The best way to describe Bob is to say he was a family man. Nothing made him happier than to be around the dinner table on Sunday nights with his family and a glass of wine. His quiet and gentle way gave his words a strong presence, and when he spoke it was always remembered. With his strong faith in God, Bob's 12 year battle with thyroid cancer, did not give him reason to stop living his life to the fullest. Never complaining, he was always true to himself, strong and steady, there for anyone who needed him. He was an honest and hardworking businessman and took pride in the many relationships he created through his company. He loved fishing, hunting, sunny Florida, traveling to Italy and boat rides on Georgian Bay. Bob had the best friends anyone could have wished for. He was there for them whenever they needed him and considered them family. Together with his family, they created a support system for him during his journey that was as strong as his will to live. Although he will be missed everyday, his strength will give all who knew him help through their difficult times. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. (Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Friday with parish prayers at 3 p.m.) Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 30 Beech St., Sudbury, Saturday, December 15th, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bob Prosperi Trust Fund would be appreciated.
