With sadness, Karen's family announce her passing in the early hours of March 28th at Extendicare St. Catharines.
Beloved daughter of Millie Bak and Karl Pukara, predeceased (Iona Reed). Loved sister of Donna Lee, predeceased, Lynn Morin (husband Jim Arenburg) and Eric Pukara (wife Sandie Gascon)
Dearly loved aunt of her three nephews, James Morin, Michael Morin (Jasmine) and Kaiden Pukara. Also survived by three great-nephews, one great-niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Karen spent her entire working career with the Ontario Government with both the ministries of Probation and Parole and retiring from Natural Resources, Enforcement Division. She was a long-time member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Massey. In her younger years Karen enjoyed curling, sewing and knitting. Karen loved animals both cat's and dogs alike, and usually had two or three cats. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare St. Catharines for their compassion and care of Karen over the past one and a half years.
There will be no service at this time. Karen will be laid to rest alongside our sister Donna Lee.
