It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Nora Raccio (Gervais) on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the young age of 63 years, in Sudbury. Carole was born in Ottawa, on November 19, 1960, and grew up in the Chelmsford area. She later lived in Calgary and settled in Toronto.
Predeceased by her father, Maurice A. Gervais, her mother, Nora P. (Gray) Gervais, and her youngest sister, Lise H. Gervais. Beloved sister to her siblings, Victoria (the late Michel) Legault of Hanmer, Suzanne (Robert) Linder of Ottawa, and Andrew (Wawnetta) Gervais, of Salisbury, New Brunswick. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces, cousins, aunts, and friends.
Carole had worked at INCO for over 25 years in the head office providing CEO support. She later returned to school to be retrained in Medical Administration and excelled. She worked at the Toronto General Hospital for 8 years, before retiring and moving to Sudbury. Carole enjoyed being outdoors in nature, and loved fishing, boating, camping, and swimming. She also enjoyed travelling, having taken many trips to Mexico where she was introduced to snorkeling. Carole was kind and generous and always ready to help others.
