It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Donald John Randveer (December 5, 1965 – February 7, 2024).
Don excelled at all things electronic. As an engineering technologist, he applied his skills as a senior designer/technician at Hatch for more than 20 years. He was a kind, gentle person who loved his family and his Golden Retriever Brayden. Don is predeceased by his mother Aina Mary Randveer (née Heikkila) and his father Elmar Randveer. He is survived by his sister Karen Watt (Steve), nephews Trevor Watt (Kelsey) and Cameron Watt (Sarah Grace). Don also leaves behind several cousins including Sandra Young, Julie Berlingeri (Greg), John Heikkila, Bob and Leila Jarvis and his dear friend Suzanne.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Health Sciences North in Sudbury for their exemplary care and attention throughout Don’s hospitalization since December 14th, 2023. Donations in memory of Don may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Internment will take place at a later date at the Tisdale Cemetery in South Porcupine, Ontario.
