RANGER, Rita L (née Villeneuve) - It is with profound sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Devoted and most loved mother, nana, mother-in-law, sister and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Eugène and Irène (née Vaillancourt) Villeneuve. Adored wife of Marcel Ranger (predeceased 1990). Beloved and cherished mother of Roxanne, Joël (Crystal) both of Sudbury and Larry (wife Diane) of Hanmer. Sadly missed by her precious grandchildren, Sophie, Mattèo, Marc, Nicolas and Noah. Dear sister of Rolande Joliat (late Gerard), Claire Gernat (Joseph) both of Chelmsford and sister-in-law of Marcel Ayotte of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Rev. Father Laurent A. Villeneuve, Edmond (late Lucille), Lucien (late Gilberte), Thérèse Ayotte (Marcel of Sudbury), Antonine Rhéaume (late Lionel), Cyrille (Cecile of Ottawa), Gérard (late Jeanne) and Georgette. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the CCAC, Red Cross, Bayshore, NEORCC and SRH (4th floor palliative care unit) for all their wonderful care and compassion. “You are all my angels“. As per Rita's wishes there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated Friday, February 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St-Joseph's Church Renovations fund or masses would be greatly appreciated.
