In Loving Memory of Davin Robert James Reid.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Davin Robert James Reid, who departed from this world on October 12, 2023.
Davin was born on June 10, 1990, and during his brief but impactful life, he touched the hearts of many. Davin was a beloved Correctional officer, a dedicated golf enthusiast, and possessed a profound passion for mixed martial arts. But above all, he was an incredible father to his three beautiful daughters, Karah, Kayleigh, and Arya. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion as a father.
Davin was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Cameron. He is survived by his father, Sean O'Neill, and his grandparents, Evelyn and John Reid, and Janice O'Neill. He also leaves behind his siblings, Santana Reid and Connor O'Neill. Davin's remarkable sense of humour and unwavering determination in pursuing his passions set him apart. His commitment to the things he loved was second to none, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He will be deeply missed by his colleagues at the Sudbury District Jail, where he dedicated his time as a Correctional officer, and his fellow members of the Sudbury MMA gym, where he found camaraderie and shared his passion for mixed martial arts.
A celebration of Davin's life will be held on Sunday, October 22, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 1642 Main Street, Val Caron, P3N 1R8. Friends and family are invited to join us in honouring his memory and sharing stories of the incredible person he was. Davin Robert James Reid's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
