RIVARD, Jeanne - In Loving Memory of Jeanne Rivard (nee Desloges) 91 years who passed peacefully Wednesday January 16th, 2013 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Loving mother of Eddy “Buck“ (Lisa) of Marine City Michigan, Suzanne Rivard and Louise (Maurice “Moe“ Guitard) both of Sudbury, Daniel “Dann“ (Chantal) of French River. Predeceased by her sons Laurent “Larry“ (Sheila of London) and Alfred “Alphie“. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Normand of French River, Roger (Lorie), Gérald (late Anita), Claudette Rancourt (late Gaston) all of Sudbury, Aimé of Kingston. Predeceased by her parents William and Mélanie (nee Levesque) Desloges, sisters Gracia Grenier (late Joe), Marguerite Simoncini (late Otto), Vivianne St. Jacques (late Maurice),Georgette Donell (late Jay), Rita Rancourt (Maurice “Moe“ of Garson) brothers Wilfred (late Rita), Victor (late Anita) and Lionel. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by sister in law Bernadette Rivard of Sudbury, many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was proud to be the first female transit bus driver in Sudbury. She was a member of Open Hand Ministry for 15 years as well as a counsellor for 100 Huntley Street. What she treasured most was being surrounded by her loving family and friends. Funeral Mass in Ste-Anne des Pins Church 14 Beech Street Saturday, January 19th 2013 at 11 a. m. Resting at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Donations to the MS Society of Sudbury or NISA (Northern Initiative for Social Action) (a non- profit organization, run by and for people with lived experience of mental illness, which provides programs and services focusing on mental health peer support) would be greatly appreciated. Interment in Civic Cemetery.
