RIVET, Gérard - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Elzéar Rivet and of the late Arméline Rivet (née Bourgeault). Husband of the late Jacqueline Rivet (née Dupuis). Loving father of Denise Lamoureux (Claude) of Val Thérèse, Cathy Rivet of Sudbury and Marcel Rivet (Denise) of Midland. Dear brother of Lucienne Belanger (Gaston) of Val Caron and Jeannine Dicarlantonio (late Mitch) of Capreol. Predeceased by his brothers, René (late Laura), Jean-Paul (late Germaine), Lucien (Anita of Chelmsford), Roger (Joyce of Sudbury) and by his sisters Jeannette Gaudreault (late René), Irène Duguay (late Georges) and Anita Loiselle (late Ron). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Frank Lamoureux, Erik Lamoureux and Natalie Lamoureux, Calvin Rochon and Casey Rochon, Alexandra Rivet and Miles Rivet and by one great- granddaughter Hailey Lamoureux. Mr. Rivet worked for Inco for 33 years. He was also a Knight of Columbus 3rd Degree, council # 10602 Ste-Marguerite d'Youville, Val Thérèse. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday from 2- 5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday May 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Ste-Marguerite d'Youville Church, Val Thérèse.
