RIVET, Roger - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Monday, December 21, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Elzear and of the late Armeline (née Bourgeault) Rivet. Beloved soul mate and husband of 65 years of Joyce Rivet (née Simonen) of Sudbury. Loving father of Maurice Rivet, Connie Pitre (Michel), Patricia Rivet, Michael Rivet (Denise) and Iris Campeau (Guy), Elaine Sternal (Mark). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Anthony, Christy-Ann, Jonathan, Natalie, Stephan, Jason, Sarah, Daniel, Joshua, Mathieu, Genevieve, Leah, Larissa and Allison. Roger truly cherished his great- grandchildren Ryan, Dylan, Carlson, Riley, Hudson, Wesley, Isabelle, Timothy, Kassidy, Trinity, Ocean, Anthony, Zakkery, Jaydon, and Rylan. Loving “Dad“ to Minnie and the late Cody. Camp was his second love after his family. And then there was golf and the Montreal Canadians. The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial service to be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME Chapel, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E., Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to Canadian Cancer society or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
