In loving memory of Jeannette Roque (née Stevens), 85 years who passed away on Thursday, March 28 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Gordon Roque of Killarney. Loving mother of Janice and Tim Roque of Killarney, Eileen and Martin Hall of Wahnapitae First Nation, Gordie Roque (predeceased), Rosanne Roque of Killarney and Barb and Jason Harrington of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Clinton and Cindy, Nick, Beau and Adrienne, Amanda, and Tyler, Kassandra and David, Brandon, Alex, and Emily as well as many cherished great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Edward Stevens and Lillian Wiles. Dear sister of Al Stevens, Eddy Stevens (predeceased), and Marion Wiles. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was a well loved and respected member of the Killarney Community. She belonged to St. Bonaventure Church, the parish CWL and parish Council. She came to Killarney as a teacher in the 50’s later to be a clerk/treasurer for the Municipality. She belonged to the Killarney Sewing Club, Big Hoss Club and the First Response Team. She had many activities and hobbies which included sewing, painting, cards, puzzles, solitaire, reading, cooking, and camping at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Resting at the Killarney Mountain Lodge where friends may call 2-9pm Tuesday. Funeral Mass in St. Bonaventure Church, Killarney on Wednesday, April 3 at 10 a.m. Interment in the All Saints Cemetery, Killarney. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Killarney Health Center or St. Bonaventure Church would be appreciated.
