It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Blanche (nee Mondor), on Friday, July 22, 2022 in Espanola. Born on March 23, 1946 in Cochrane, her family will remember her for her love, generosity, courage, and relentless strength. Blanche enjoyed a life of 76 years filled with incredible memories of time spent with close friends and family. She is predeceased by her parents Jean and Yvette Mondor of Kitchener, sisters Paulette Mondor, Rozanne Bruneau (Marcel), Marie Claire Coulombe (Joe) and brother Norman Mordor (Evelyn). She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years; Ernie Ross and children; Stephen Ross (Kelmany) of Ottawa, and Charlene Deschamps (Yvon) of Timmins. Also leaving behind her two sisters Marie Paul Pajala (Jack) and Gaetanne Tyrer (Peter) along with many nieces and nephews. Blanche took great pride in and loved her grandchildren; Reece Deschamps (Samantha), Ryan Deschamps, Reagan Deschamps and Morgan Ross, who always enjoyed grandma’s famous lasagna and spaghetti with meatballs. Special thanks to the care and support of the medical team at Espanola Regional Hospital. Cremation to take place at Park Lawn Cremation Services in Sudbury and a private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in her honour, would be appreciated and may be made securely online through www.heart and stroke.ca.
