ROY, Alma (née Lachapelle) - The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury, Friday, January 28, 2011 at the age of 91 years. Wife of the late Urbain Roy, predeceased in 1979. Beloved mother of Yolande Guérin (late Joseph) of Hanmer, Claudette Manners of Gore Bay, Raymond Roy (late Evelyne) of Alban, Marcel Roy (Jeannine) of Azilda, Daniel Roy (Thérèse) of Noëlville and Diane Soucy (friend Roy Furness) of Sudbury. Dear sister of Joseph Lachapelle (Thérèse), Gérard Lachapelle (Lucille) and Hector Lachapelle (Hélène) all of Sudbury, Léonie Castonguay (late Tyne) of Chelmsford and Roger Lachapelle (Irène) of Val Caron. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Léo (late Jeanne), Mariange Séguin (late Onisse), Aimé (late Rita), Rosario, Rhéaume (late Lucille), Henri (Gloria of Sudbury) and Jeanne Demers (late Rhéal). Sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Monday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
