ROY, Rene - In Loving Memory of Rene Roy, 82 years, Sunday morning, May 8th, 2011 at Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of 60 years of Loretta (nee Armstrong) of Sudbury. Loving father of Roger (Jackie) of Chelmsford, Gilles (Denise) of Chelmsford and Francine (George Watmore) of Barrie. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Annik (Terry Benoit), Justin, Manon (Steve), Philippe (Jehnna), Jenelle, Patrick, Brianne and great grandchildren Lucas, Mackenzie, Marcus and Zoe. Predeceased by his parents Aldege and Bertha (nee Dupuis) Roy. Dear brother of Fernand (Evelyne), Rheal, Roma (Maria), Lina (Leger Caza), Lorraine (Simon), Denise Drouin, Marie-Ange Cardinal, Noella and predeceased by Alfred, Alec, Omer, Maurice, Moise, Normand, Rose Tessier, Berthe Bouchard and Lilianne Dubreuil, Marie-Ange Cardinal and Noella. Special uncle of several nieces and nephews. Rene worked as a diamond driller at INCO for 25 years. He was also a member of the Chevalier de Colomb conseil #8020. A jack of all trades, Rene would help his neighbors anytime they needed help. He loved playing cards and was a master cribbage player. Rene was a best friend to his family. Rene's family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at Extendicare Falconbridge and nurse Sam Peltier at Laurentian Hospital for their care. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Mass in L'Annonciation Church, 1168 Northway Ave. Sudbury Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 am. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury. Donations in memory of Rene to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. (Friends may call from 2-5pm and 7-9pm on Thursday).
