It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Christina Royer, age 45, on Thursday January 4, 2024, in Sudbury.
Christina beloved mother of Anastasia Royer-Mitchell (Joel Aubin) and Avery Royer-Mitchell. Cherished and loving daughter of Marcel and Brenda Royer (née Folz). Beloved sister of Caroline Royer (Jamie MacDonald) and Marcel Royer (Michelle Brunette). Loving aunt to Alexis Brunette-Royer (Raphael Boucher-Lalonde), Dominik Brunette-Royer, Geneviève MacDonald, and Ava MacDonald. Sadly, missed and well loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Chris grew up in Blind River and loved connecting with nature which made her feel closer to her treasured grandpa, Jack Folz, who she missed dearly. Christina will be greeted by her beloved late grandparents: Mémère Giselle Royer (née Tailleur), Pépère Angelbert Marcel Royer, Grandma Margaret Eleanor Folz (née Walthers) and Grandpa Jack (John Joseph) Folz.
From the time Christina was a little girl, she walked to the beat of her own drum, regardless of what others thought or said. Forging her own path through life, she could be a force to be reconned with especially if she felt her family needed protecting. It brought her great pleasure making people laugh, all the while masking her own painful struggles.
Chris will always be remembered as “daddy’s little girl” as we remember her dancing to the tune of “Daddy’s Girl” by Red Sovine…. “I’m the centre of daddy’s world”. Christina will be remembered fondly as her mom’s ray of sunshine.
You can now rest peacefully our dear beautiful soul, mother, daughter, and sister as you are greeted by your cherished grandpa at the pearly gates of heaven with his loving smile, his happy sunflowers singing “You Are My Sunshine”.
Respecting Christina’s wishes, no service or visitation will take place. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
