SAIKKONEN, Margaret (nee Naponse) - In Loving Memory of Margaret Saikkonen (nee Naponse) 73 years Passed away Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Lawrence Saikkonen predeceased. Loving mother of Tim (Bernadette), Ted (Kelly), Keith predeceased, Sheila Saikkonen, Brian (Kimberly), Darren and Terrence (Carrie). Cherished grandmother of Wesley, Corey, Cody, Danielle, Haley, Bradley, Kevin, Brandy, Brandon, Carter, Tyson and Jordan (predeceased) and great grandmother of Larissa, Kaitlyn, Liighton, Daytona. Sadly missed by her step grandchildren Celina, Kelly, Candace and Joshua. Dear daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” and Mary (Wabegijig) Naponse. Dear sister of Ethel (Jack Fraser predeceased), Linda (George Petahtegoose), Vivian Naponse, Gordon (Kathleen), Larry (Coralee), Jeff (Dolores), Randy (Jeanne) and step sister of Laura (Jim Greer predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was born in Sudbury and loved spending time with family and friends at camp where she was affectionately known as “Fire Bug” hosting many shoreline dinners and campfires. Margaret had a great sense of humour and was blessed with an infectious laugh that would light up a room. The focus of her life was always her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren for whom she leaves a legacy of love and many wonderful memories. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Funeral Mass at St. Christopher's Church, Whitefish Monday, January 7th, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Whitefish Lake Reserve Cemetery.
