SANTEK, Miroslav (Miro) - Born August 25, 1945 in Croatia - October 20, 2012. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces his unexpected death in his birth country of Croatia on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the age of 67. Miroslav was kind-hearted, respected, and a man of integrity. He was a hard worker and always went out of his way for others. The proud and loving father of Daniel Santek (Zagreb) and Matea Santek (Sudbury). Loving spouse of Vivian Santek (Sudbury). Miroslav worked for INCO (VALE) for 29 years. He will be greatly missed by all including many relatives and friends in Canada, Cuba, USA, and Europe. As his sudden passing was in Europe the family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Funeral Services will be held in Zagreb, Croatia on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Mirosevac Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.; Mass will be held at Saint Ivan Church in Sveti Ivan Zelina, Croatia at 6:00 p.m. immediately following the funeral services.
