SAUCIER, (Sir Knight) Melvin - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Dear Father Melvin (Mel) Saucier, age 84, on March 16, 2012. Mel died peacefully after a brief illness with the comfort of family present. Loving husband and soul mate of Millie (predeceased), beloved Father to Linda (husband Mahlon), Dwain (wife Sue), Ken (wife Helene), Debbie (husband Leo), Gail (husband Craig), Cheryl, predeceased (husband Chuck). Loving brother to Lawrence (predeceased), Jeannine Biccum, Margaret (Tucky) Hamill, Gerry, Norma Reilly (predeceased), Shirley Forrest, Laurie Lefave, Ken (predeceased), and Vivian Coleman. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren who loved him and will miss him dearly. Mel was a past Grand Knight of the Guelph Knights of Columbus council and an Honourary 4th Degree and 3rd Degree Knight. His years of affiliation with the Knights of Columbus brought him great joy and pride. Although our hearts are breaking and heavy with sorrow, we know that he has joined our Mother Millie, his true and only soul mate and daughter Cheryl to rest peacefully in Heaven until we meet again. Resting at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, (Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM only). Funeral mass at Christ the King Church, 30 Beech St., Sudbury, on Friday, March 23rd., 2012 at 10 AM. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke or Kidney Association in his memory would be gratefully accepted.
