SAVOIE, Maurice (Moe) - Suddenly passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at the age of 64 years. Son of the late Roland and Cécile (née Hamelin) Savoie. Beloved husband of Linda Perreault of Sudbury. Loving father of Sylvie Savoie (Daniel Giguère), Jacqueline Savoie (Rod St.Denis) and Susan Savoie (Lee Dubreuille). Predeceased in 2008 by his son Daniel. Dear brother of Alice Cadieux (Ghislain), Jeanne Loranger and Fernande Mayer. Predeceased by his brothers Fernand, Georges, Onil, Wilfrid and his sister Rita. Proud grandfather of Zacharie (Kristal), Maxime, Brandon, Shelby and Seth. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special friend of Julien and Sue Dionne, Jean Mayer, Denis Lafrenière, Minita Larcher, Jamie Bell and Raegan Grant. Moe, a machinist at Bristol Machine Shop for many years, will be remembered having been president of the Steelworkers Local 7282, an active member of SOAR and having taken great pride in organising new locals for the Steelworkers. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers donations (by cheque only) to the Children's Treatment Center Steelworkers project would be greatly appreciated.
