The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the age of 68 years. Daughter of Iris Chalmers (née Dool) and the late George Chalmers. Wife of the late Rocky Schelstad. Cherished mother of Carl (Tracy) and Christopher (Gates). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Andrew, Olivia, Joey, and Abby. Cathy will also be missed by her brother William “Bill” (Sherree), brother-in-law Richard (Rosemary) and her special friends Louise Diamond, Nancy Masse and Christia Dumont.
Cathy was retired, having worked many years at Canada Revenue Agency. Her joys in life were spending time with her grandkids, friends and her cat Rocco. She will be missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation Services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
