SCOTT, Elizabeth (Betty) M - Betty Scott (nee Hunter) passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2nd, 2011 at Extendicare York, Sudbury, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Scott (predeceased). Loving mother of Ann (friend Kevin Lougheed) and Nancy (husband Mike Gouchie) both of Sudbury. Cherished Grandma to Jeff, Greg (Jess) and Meaghan. Loving daughter of the late Aggie and Art Hunter. Loving sister of Artie (predeceased), Lynn, and Alvin (Liz) both of Sudbury. Dear sister-in-law of Bill Scott predeceased (wife Doreen), Gladys Cartwright (husband Earl) both predeceased and Inez Buzzell (husband Buzz predeceased). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Will be greatly missed by long time friend Rena Gilpin. Born in Massey, Ontario on June 15th, 1930, Betty married Bob in Sudbury in 1955. She was a homemaker who also helped as a seasonal bookkeeper at Sudbury Boat and Canoe, a family owned business. She was an avid reader, knitter, and crocheter. Betty together with Bob were passionate bowlers in the Sudbury area for many years. They spent numerous winters in Florida and made countless friends throughout North America. Their summers were spent at the family camp on Attlee Lake where friends and family were always welcomed. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at 11:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
