SCOTT, Rosalie - Granny as she was affectionately called, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2012 at the Manitoulin Health Center, in Little Current, Ontario in her 90th year, with her family and friends by her side. Rosalie was predeceased by husband Alvin Victor Scott (Scotty) and five children, Carolyn, Gerry, Terrance, John and Robert. Mother of surviving children are Gordon (Connie), Ronald (Carol) Darrel, Colleen (Denis), Colin, Kelly (Dan), Hal and Tracy (Andy), along with Maeanne her daughter-in-law. Grandmother to 27 children, great grandmother to 16 children and great great grandmother to 1 child. Rosalie was born in Cold Water, Ontario, married her husband Alvin Scott 1940, and finally settled in Naughton, Ontario, where her husband obtained work with Inco, working primarily at Creighton Mine. Together they operated a boarding house and were also parents to many foster children. Rosalie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and enjoyed sharing Bible truths that she had learned with others. She will be remembered by many for her compassion, kindnesses and her generosity, freely expressed to all she came in contact with. The family wishes to sincerely thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Manitoulin Health Centre for their exceptional care of Rosalie during her brief stay at the hospital. Funeral arrangements handled by the Alternative Services of Elliot Lake. A memorial service will be held at the Little Current Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 51 Wilson Street East on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 2:00 PM for those wishing to attend.
