In loving memory of John Scoville, who passed away at Health Sciences North on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the age of 79.
John was born in Sudbury to Lorne and Lil Scoville (predeceased). He is survived by his son, Cory (Cindy), and grandchildren, Tyler (Vanessa) and Tessa. He was thrilled with the additions of great grandchildren, Henry, Adalyn, and Jayden.
John was a loving brother to Diana (predeceased) (Brian), Sandy (Mark), Eleanor (Ralph) both predeceased, Kathy (Dean) both predeceased, Lorna (Russ) and George. He will also be fondly remembered by Isabelle, mother of Cory, and Margaret and Sandra, whose friendships he treasured. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John graduated from Laurentian University and became a high school teacher, teaching in Sudbury and Toronto. He was a great NFL football fan and enjoyed watching games with Cory and Tyler. In earlier days, he loved to spend time at his camp on Nepewassi Lake, fishing and boating. John had the gift of gab and amused everyone with his stories.
A special thanks to the staff at Extendicare York as they were wonderfully patient and accessible. During his stay at Extendicare York he made many new friends and enjoyed his time there. To the staff of Health Sciences North, thank you, you made John’s last days comfortable and pleasant.
