SEMENZIN Rodolfo Quinto - In Loving Memory of Rodolfo Quinto Semenzin, 88 years
Friday, May 13th, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Silvia (DeLonghi) Semenzin of Sudbury. Loving father of Sandra (Roland Turgeon) of Espanola, John Lee (Micheline) of Ottawa and Lidia of Sudbury. Cherished Nonno of Darryl (Jennifer), Steve (Sara), John Carlo, and Matthew, and great-grandchildren Ty Anthony, Abbie Grace, and Ayden Joshua. Dear son of Giovanni and Rosa Semenzin both predeceased. Predeceased by two sisters and five brothers in Italy and one sister in Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Volpago, Treviso, Italy in 1923 and immigrated to Canada in 1948, Rodolfo married Silvia in Sudbury in 1949. He worked as a First Class carpenter at the INCO Smelter for 36 years, retiring in 1981. Rodolfo was a Life Member of the Caruso Club, a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and the Holy Name Society and also a longtime member of the Alpini. The passions of his life were his garden, music and dancing. He will be sadly missed, but leaves a wonderful legacy of love. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, 19 Mary St. Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at 10:30am. Entombment in the Civic Mausoleum. Prayers 7pm Monday. Donations to the SRH Cancer Program or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday.)
