SHANK, Alice - The family announces with sorrow her death at Maison Vale Hospice, Monday, June 18, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Daughter of the late Joseph Houle and the late Delina (née Comtois) Houle. Wife of the late Euclide Shank (1998) and the late Gerard Roy (2001). Loving mother of Linda Roy-Landry (Claude) of Wahnapitae, Lise Bouchard (Wilfrid) of Chapleau and Denis Shank of Sudbury. Predeceased by her daughter Ruth (1947). Dear sister of Cecile Quesnel (late Germain) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Marie Rose Shank (late Roland), Emery Houle (Doreen of Garson), Ovila Houle (late Leona and late Betty Chauvin), Albert Houle and Emiliana (late Eda Roy). Will be missed by her grandchildren Lissa Palmatier (Murray), Jeffrey Landry, Crystal Piete (André) and Jessica Arseneault (Patrick) and her great grandchildren Brady, Amber, Katelyn, Mireille, Landon, André and Ashton. Alice was a bingo player, she loved knitting, travelling and baked the best Bread Buns! Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. At the family's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the St Dominique Church, Diane St., Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to Maison Vale Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
