SHANK, Marcel - October 4 1934 - April 11, 2013 - Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Velma Shank (nee Bois). Dear father of Carole (Scott), Denis (Monique), Guy (Lisa) and Pierrette (Gordon). Dear grandfather of Madeleine, Nicole, Danielle, Paige, Kyle, Katrina and Malori. Dear brother of Claire Laberge, Beatrice Ewing, Sylviane Éthier and Gisele Lottridge. Marcel was an avid prospector, hunter, fisherman, card player and a dedicated volunteer to the Mended Hearts. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Mended Hearts. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the I.C.U. staff for their kind and compassionate care given to Marcel. At Marcel's request, there will be no visitation or service however a memorial service will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
