MILTON SHAW (Nairn Centre)—After a long and courageous battle with cancer he passed away peacefully at home on 7th March 2024 aged 66. Milt had a deep love of the outdoors, mining and travelling, North Yorkshire being one of his most favourite places on earth. His dream was to retire and go travelling around Canada with his darling wife doing hobby mining as well as spending much more time in England. Unfortunately this was a dream that was cut short. He leaves behind many broken hearts, Beloved husband of Lorraine Shaw. Stepdad to Danielle (Ray) Frappier and Lisa (Carl) Leduc. Dad to Michael and David Shaw. Proud grandfather to Alex, Corey, Blake, Lincoln, Dylan, Isabella and Bobbie. Brother to Cheryl (Ray) Brisson and uncle to Yvan and Angel. Pre-deceased by his parents Albert Edward Shaw and Francoise Patry Shaw of Timmins

The family would like to thank Dr Bignucolo and the Pallative care team, Chelsie, Jen & Erin in Espanola for their amazing care. Also to the cancer centre at HSN and to the nurses Tasha, Reagan and Jeanette from Bayshore who have looked after him daily. You all made this difficult journey so much more bearable. As Milt said shortly before he died “ It has been a hard journey but we have met some amazing people along the way” and he was right, we have.

Cremation with a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be split between a couple of charities dear to Miltons heart. The Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation and the Cancer centre at HSN.

Thank you to the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME in Espanola for all their help during this difficult time.
