SHAW, Peter James - April 29, 1960 - May 28, 2012 Shaw, Peter lost his courageous battle with ALS and passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on May 28, 2012 surrounded by family and friends at St. Mary's General Hospital. Loving husband and dear friend to Kathy (nee Jokat) and proud father to children Mackenzie and Sam Shaw. His hugs and kisses will be missed. Son to the late David Shaw of Sudbury, Peter's memory is left with his mother Gaynor Lynott, sisters Janet Shaw Rogers (Tio Rogers), Patricia Shaw (David Schmitt) and brother John Shaw. He will also be missed by Margaret and Adam Jokat, Brian Jokat and Patricia (Jokat) Kitching and by his many friends who shared the things he loved - hockey and lacrosse with his children, days of golf, fishing, laughter and a cold one. Peter was known for his hard work and dedication over the years as owner of The Salt Source. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 6th floor of St. Mary's General Hospital for their care, compassion and support and all who were involved in his care while he was at home. All who knew Peter are invited to a Celebration of Peter's Life on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Waterloo Region Police Club (W.R.P.A.) 1128 Rife Road Cambridge (North Dumfries) from 4pm - 9pm.
