In Loving Memory of Marlin Shrigley (nee Lytle) 84 Years who passed away on Monday February 12th, 2024 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice after a weekend of being surrounded by her loving family.

The love of her life and soulmate of whom she spent over 70 years with, Ron Shrigley, will miss her forever. The most amazing and loving mother of Douglas Shrigley (Veronika) and Kimberly Sigouin. Cherished grandmother of Devyn Sigouin (Lauren), Shannen Sigouin (Michael), Jeff Shrigley (Sarah) and Samantha Shrigley (Michael). Treasured great grandmother of Benjamin, Parker, Sullivan and Baker. Dear daughter of John and Verdonne Lytle (both predeceased). Loving sister of Norm Lytle (Kathy predeceased), Sandra Shrigley (Don predeceased), Coleen Shelswell and Jocelyne Murray (Peter predeceased). She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Marlin had a love for travelling and explored as much as she could. Marlin and Ron found themselves in places like Cuba, Mexico, Jamaica, Nassau and her absolute favourite, Hawaii. She was happiest in moments surrounded by her family; sharing old memories and creating new ones. Some of her greatest memories were made at the camper at Wasaga Pines campground. Marlin had the biggest and purest heart. She cared tremendously about her family and friends, but she also cared for those in need. Marlin would knit hats and mitts and donate them to people in her community. Marlin was truly selfless. She was caring, patient and loyal to her core. Marlin was a great listener and a great story teller too. Her greatest pleasures in life were being a mother, a grandmother, being blessed as a great grandmother, and most importantly being married to her husband Ron who was by her side until the very end.

A very special thank you to the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, especially Ashley Bertrand for all the care and incredible compassion. Her time may have been short, but she went out with such peace and grace which is exactly how she wanted to go. The family will forever be grateful to Gerry Lougheed Jr. whom she considered a great friend for all the help and guidance. A very special thank you to all the staff at the Lougheed Funeral Home.
