SIMARD, Léon - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of 58 years to Thérèse (née Blais) Simard.Son of the late Adrien and the late Emily (née Methé) Simard. Loving father of Diane Brabant (Richard), Raymond Simard (Janet), Pauline Soucy (Denis), Susan Cindric (late Anthony) and Nicole Simard (William) all of Chelmsford. Dear brother of Réjeanne Kindt (late Herman) of California, Aline Délorme (Gerry), Cecile Cazabon (Roy) both of Hanmer, Germain Simard (Shirley) of North Bay and Aurel Simard (late Monique) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brother Raymond. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chantal, Michel, Anne, Christopher, Justin, Josée, Zachary, Benjamin, Christiane and Anthony and by his great-grandchildren Sébastien, Samuel, Xavier, Aimé, Vanessa, Makenzie, Océane, Taylor and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff on the 4th and 9th floor, North Tower of Health Sciences North for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR15, Chelmsford on Monday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Cooperative Funeral Home, Chelmsford.
