SLYWCHUK, Nick - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, April 16th, 2013 at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of Carmelle (née Lafortune) Slywchuk of Sudbury.Son of the late Anatoli and the late Elizabeth (née Romiscon) Slywchuk. Loving father of Nicholas Slywchuk of Sudbury and step- father of Robert Bélanger (Joanne), Lisette Robert (Gaston), Joanne Lecompte (Leonard), Gisèle Paradis (Paul), Michel Bélanger (Caroline), Elliot Bélanger (Lorraine) all of Sudbury and Carole Bélanger (Roger McFadden) of Stroud. Dear brother of Anne Marie Purificati (Vince) and Debbie Landry (Bob) both of Timmins and Susan Slywchuk of Ajax. Sadly missed by 18 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A very honest and generous soul who was above all a Teacher, Mentor and Provider.The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd East, Sudbury on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated.
