SMITH, Anthony George (Tony) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Tony in Surrey, B.C. at the age of 73, on May 8, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Sudbury, the eldest child of the late Anthony & Florence (Paquette) Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Arlene (Myers) Smith and his children Bruce Smith (Whonda) and Judy Rosen as well as 4 grandchildren, all of Surrey B.C.. Dear brother of Joan Gay of Pickering, Pauline Smith (predeceased), Margaret Grosser of Dowling, Pat Venne of Sudbury, Shirley Matson (predeceased), Robert Smith (predeceased), Gail Mikkola of Lively, George Smith of Garson, Jim Smith of Barrie, Betty O'Hearn of Bowmanville, Joyce Dodds of Lively, Sandra Wright (predeceased), and Jennifer Lemega of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and his Auntie Celina Deforge and Uncle Roger Paquette. Cremation, followed by a private family service has taken place in Surrey, B.B. “Keep your arms around him, Lord, and give him special care. Make up for all he suffered, that seemed to us unfair.“
