It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Smith in Sudbury, Ontario. Diane sadly passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 81 at Health Sciences North, leaving to mourn family and friends but knowing an angel gained her wings.
Diane is survived by: her loving husband Leo Perrier; her daughter Sheralee (David) Butwell, her son Jason (Sylvie) Smith, Treasured by her grandchildren Jeffrey Butwell, Samantha Butwell, Jessica (Matt) Lokeneuth, Amanda (Richard) Boulduc, Brandon (Gaby) Smith, Kayla Smith, and Taryn Smith and her great grandchildren Mila Lokeneuth and Avery Bulduc; as well as her stepfamily, step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father John Vasseur, her mother Myrtle Cunio-Vasseur, her two brothers, John (Linda) Cunio-Vasseur and Paul (Linda) Vasseur and her beloved son Dean Smith.
Diane was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed moose hunting, fishing and especially camping. She also had a real love for travel and reading. Diane was really happy when she spent her time visiting with family and friends. We will always remember her infectious laugh and her love for Elvis! Diane was loved and cherished by her family and many lifelong friends and will be missed deeply.
