In Loving Memory Of Donald S. Smith, 81 Years, Friday, April 30th, 2010 at the Finlandia Village. Beloved husband of Elsa (Bettio) Smith predeceased 1987. Loving father of Shelley (Jim Braiden) of Edmonton and Kelley (Dean Dion) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Brendan. Dear son of Stephen and Pearl Smith both predeceased. Dear brother of Kenny (Marion predeceased), Bobby (Cathy) and Carol (Raymond Lacey) all of Sudbury, predeceased by Jack (Laurie), Billy, Gerry (Geraldine of Sudbury) and Marilyn. Dear brother-in-law of Lydia (Bob Canapini predeceased) of Sudbury, Delma of Sudbury and Sam Bettio (predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury, Donald worked at the INCO Smelter for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He had a great passion for music over his entire lifetime. He was a well known professional musician, starting with his brothers in the Sudbury Boys Band, right through his golden years with the Hill Top Legion Band. At Donald’s request there will be no public visitation or service. Cremation. Donations to the RCL Branc #76 Hill Top Band or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
