SMITH, Hilda Beatrice (nee Higdon) - In loving memory of Hilda Beatrice Smith (nee Higdon), 81 years, passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Randal George Smith of Sudbury. Loving mother of Glen Moss (Carol), Dale Moss (Joy), Leslie Palkoviks (Joe “Butch“), Dean Moss (Susan), Rocky Moss, and Sonja Alcock (Steve). Cherished grandmother of David (Annette), Melanie (Melvin), Glen Jr. (Michelle), Hollie (Duncan), Vicki (Larry), Morgan (Christine), Mitchell (Michelle), Joshua, and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Henry & Mary Alice Higdon (nee King), brothers, sisters and husband of 25 years Leslie Martin Moss. Hilda was a 'mighty wee lady', always stunningly dressed and well done-up, and she had a fabulous sense of humour. She loved to laugh, travel, and talk politics. Hilda was well-organized, proud, and enjoyed playing on a seniors' bowling league. The focus of her life was always her family: she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at 1pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
