SMITH, Stanley “Stan“ Matthew - In Loving Memory of Stanley “Stan“ Matthew Smith, 85 years, Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at the Pioneer Manor, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Daisy (Silvestri) Smith predeceased 2010. Loving father of George (Evelyn) and Doug (Kathleen). Cherished grandfather of Erin (fiancé Sam Burke), Gregory, Ava and Paige, and great grandson Silas Burke. Dear son of George and Julia (Singo) Smenziuk both predeceased. Dear brother of Helen Mynerich, Frances Cushnir and Joseph Smith predeceased. Special friend of Annette Brisebois. Born in Creighton, Stan married Daisy in Copper Cliff in 1952. Stan worked as a maintenance mechanic at INCO for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Lively Creighton Elks and the Copper Cliff Italian Club. Stan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing, and was an avid fan of the Sudbury Wolves. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury, Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 at 11am. Interment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
