SMITH, Stanley Gerald - In Loving Memory of Stanley Gerald Smith 83 years Tuesday, February 12th, 2013, his family by his side, at the Vale Hospice, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Claire (nee Rivais) Smith of Coniston. Loving father of Marvin predeceased (Paulette), Susan Quinlan (Clark), Gordon (Karen Scott) and Darren (Diane). Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Angela and Erin Smith, Ryan Degazio (Mia), Denika Degazio-Bursey (Scott), Krystal Groves-Jones (Stephen), Tricia Scott, Andrea Pineau (Wayne), Tamara, Devin and Richelle Smith, Wade Smith (Ashley), Brent Smith and by his 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Sydney G. and Dorothy (nee Geoffrey) Smith. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Ellen Fournier, Beryl Hutchinson, Harold, George and Dorothy. Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Coniston, he worked as a mechanic for INCO Ltd. for over 40 years retiring in 1985. His favorite pastimes were fishing, square dancing, curling, darting, bowling, gardening, traveling, cards, casino trips but most of all he enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Murray Lake surrounded by his family. Memorial Mass at St Paul the Apostle Church, Coniston Saturday, February 16th, 2013 at 10:00 am. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury. Spring Interment at St John's Cemetery, Garson. Donations in memory of Stanley to Vale Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged.
