SMITS, Maria Teresa (née Vandenakker) - 1929-2010 Peacefully at Eastholme on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Adrian Smits (predeceased). Loving mother of Mary (John Willemsen) of Sturgeon Falls, Adrian (Christine Quenneville) of Edmonton, AB, Martin (Diane Lavigne) of Georgetown, Jerry (Lise Gareau) of Sudbury, Brian (Grace Landry) of Deep River, Patrick(Christine Julien) of Haileybury, Julie St. Aubin (Robert Mallory) of Petawawa and David (Lynda Girard) of North Bay. Dear sister of Henk Vandenakker (Diny Smits). Predeceased by her brothers and sisters the Rev. Martin van den Akker, Bertha van de Ven, Petronella van den Akker, Johan van den Akker, Marien van den Akker, and Gerard van den Akker. Cherished Oma of Jessica Willemsen (Bryan), Rebecca Willemsen-Shackleton (Darren), Matthew Willemsen (Tina), Amy Soleski (Keith), Emily Smits, Nolan Smits (Elly), Jennifer Lennon (Jason), Linda Smits (Jason), Derik Smits (Stephanie), Vanessa Smits, Melanie Smits (Brad), Thalia Smits (Travis), Evan Smits, Jacob Lalonde, Daniel Lalonde (Tammy) and Paulette Lalonde , Megan St. Aubin, Sara Smits and Steven Smits.
