SNOW, Wilfrid Arnold - In loving memory of Wilfrid Arnold Snow who passed away at the age of 86 at Extendicare Falconbridge. Beloved husband of 60 years to Terry (predeceased 2007). Very loving and devoted father of Randy (Elaine), Debbie (Judy Cramer) and Patti Bratina (Richard). Cherished grandfather of Michael, Diana, Nicholas and Ryan (predeceased). Dear son of George and Ada Snow (predeceased). Dear brother of Mabel Smith (Angus) (predeceased), Margaret Percival (Charlie) (predeceased) and Elva Merry (Alge predeceased) of Sundridge. Born in Arthur, Ontario, Wilf moved to Sundridge at an early age. In 1943 he joined the Airforce, serving for two years. Wilf began his career with British American Oil (later Gulf Canada) in 1948 where he worked for 36 years, retiring in 1984 as Terminal Superintendent in Sudbury. Wilf enjoyed bowling, golfing and was a great hockey fan of the Sudbury Wolves. He enjoyed gardening, travelling and was very “home-proud“. He liked to be busy building and helping his family and friends. Wilf was a kind generous man, loving and proud husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for their loving and compassionate care. You were truly Dad""s extended family and he loved and appreciated your kindness. Thank you to Dr. Roch and the Emergency Department staff at the Sudbury Regional Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
