Rosemarie (Rose) Sowa
May 9th, 1960 - January 9th, 2024
In loving memory of our Rose. After a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, our first home, our pillar, our strength, our fighter, our mother, our grannie, our sister and our friend, surrendered comfortably in the arms of her daughter at Health Sciences North on the morning of January 9th, 2024 at only 63 years old.
Loving mother of Ashley Gordon (Daren Boudreau) and Austin Gordon. The one and only cherished grannie of Dawson. Loving daughter of George and Ellen Sowa (both predeceased). Loving sister and friend of Elizabeth Sowa, Derek Sowa and Selina Sowa. Auntie of Spencer, Stephanie, Lauren, Deanna and Dana. Great Auntie of Marlowe. Long time friend of Debbie Churan and Jean Mayer.
Rosie loved decorating, crafts, cleaning, cooking, baking, spending time outdoors doing yard work, gardening, suntanning, car rides to Tim Hortons for a Double Double, a glass of red wine, side pork, fish fry’s and most importantly spending time with her family, especially having sleepovers with her grandson in “Granniehood”. Famously known for her homemade perogies and Polish Easter Soup. Rose was the true definition of unconditional love, even at times when life came with many conditions. She would do anything to help someone in need and was always there for her children no matter what. A loyal hard worker, Rose dedicated 18 years of her life as a Decor Specialist at Home Depot and truly enjoyed helping her customers find the perfect blinds to suit their homes and style. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Until we see you again, make sure you eat! We love you to the moon and back.
