SPENCER – Winston James, died July 22

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing at Health Sciences North of Winston Spencer of Radar Road, Hanmer on Thursday, July 22nd, 2022, at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Bernard Spencer and late Sigrid Spencer. Dear father of Cindy Samuels (née Spencer). He will forever be remembered by his loving grandchildren Chloe and Silas. He will be sadly missed by his very dear nephew Ted Mrochek. Also survived by his brothers Rodney, Sidney, and Perry Spencer. Predeceased by his son Curtis, his ex-wife Suzanne and his brothers Clayton and Herbie Spencer.

Winston was born and raised in Garson. He lived all of his adult life in Hanmer. Many will remember him from his days as a teacher at Confederation High School or when he owned a laundromat called Winsue in Hanmer or as a self-employed electrician riding around in his Spencer Electric van. He loved English Springer Spaniel dogs, field trials, beekeeping, farming and square dancing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services. A private family gathering will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest with his son Curtis. Online condolences can be posted at www.Sudbury.com.
